By SteveB from Ramapo Mountains on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great hiker for wet spring conditions. The Gore-Tex really works. The sole protects well from uneven rocks, but a little too stiff for trail running. Better for hiking.
Nice looking shoe that I would use for casual wear too, if I didn't have them covered in mud all the time.

Uncomfortable and unstable By mellodug from Tohatchi, NM on 02/09/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Not flexible, Poor foot stabilization Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Felt like they stuck a regular hiking shoe sole and foot bed on a low hiking shoe but because it is a low shoe, it lacked stability and had poor ankle support. The shoe was stiff and extremely uncomfortable and seemed to cause pronation and ankle pain. Have other Asolo hiking boots that I love, but this shoe is not up to the standards of their other products.
