By CarlNH from NH on 10/20/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just received these and they fit well. I had thought they might be of a bit heavier constuction than they are (quite "soft" but comfortable, we'll see how they hold up to hard use).
Style, comfort & function By Nip in Noank from Mystic, Ct on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Original attraction was the color (red) and the Gore-Tex was a plus. First wearing was a rainy day trip to New York City, and they were very comfortable for the all-day initial experience. Fortunately I had read earlier reviews commenting that needed to order 1/2 size down - a 9 fit just right while I normally wear 9 1/2.

I don't have to be concerned by days that start with heavy dew or rain after I've left the house.
By Gaiter guy from Washington DC on 09/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable right out of the box, I wear these shoes commuting as well as for day-hikes in the area. The shoes have already seen plenty of action in the rain and they are waterproof as advertised! We did a 6 mile hike through one of the local parks in pouring rain and came home with my feet dry!
By OnePin from Oklahoma on 09/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes have a spongy feel when you walk and your foot will slide around a bit. I tried running in them and had to turn around and come back. As far as hiking, they are too flemsy for that. The use of the shoe will be limited. All my other Asolo footwear has been outstanding but I think I wasted my money on these.
Great for lite jogging and normal hikes By Duvall Rhino from Duvall, WA on 09/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable right out of the box! After running in them for a week, they feel light and airy. I had no rubbing issues or overheating problems. They kept my feet dry, while allowing them to breath. I love the shoe, but wouldn't use it for any back packing, since they don't have much lateral support compared to other shoes I've worn... but, they feel like a running shoe... which is a much better way to go when used as daily wear. I'm a PE teacher.
By Mailman Kev from KIRK, K89 on 09/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good looks, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Golf, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Okay, I love them, but I'm hard on shoes. We'll see how durable they are as time goes on. I just got stuck on a walking mail delivery route and have worn these shoes five times so far. Walked about 75 miles. They are indeed waterproof, although the top kind of feels damp. It's not. When I check my socks they're dry. They're very comfortable, but I still manage to get a blister, as I'm a rural carrier by trade, used to driving, not walking. Soft feet! I like the looks, and the width is perfect around the ball of my foot. The length is slightly long but the toe area is a little narrow, which gets old around mile ten! I also wore them golfing on a very damp slick morning. Best shoes I've ever worn to golf in. [...]are very good shoes all around. Highly recommended.
