Great Boot for People with High Arches By Chauga Wanderer from Madison, SC on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Lightweight, Secure Fit Best Uses: Hiking Backpacking Describe Yourself: Avid hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boot for people with high arches and narrow heels. Placement of gromet securing the heel allows wearer to lace boot tight enough to provide platform stability and to eliminate excess heel movement without needing to lace the boot tightly over the arch or ankle areas. Foot will not slide forward even on prolonged steep descents. Virtually no break-in required.
By krvrgrl from Croton NY on 04/13/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight Cons: Slip Off, The heel is cut very wide Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My friend and I both bought these boots online & were hopeful, but the heel slipped up & down on both of us so they had to go back.
By leo c. from norfolk va on 03/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: so far so good, grips trails ,but not well on wet wood or rocks, harder rubber is slippery. very comfortable good support.
By Plant Lover from Eureka CA on 03/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although I won't really know how great the boots are until the end of the season, so far they are nice. I really like the size. It's hard for me to find small boots because I'm such a small woman, but I am a big fan of Asolo for the size availability. I got some Vasque boots last season, and they were destroyed within three months of heavy duty field work. I think these will last longer than that.
Well worth the postage to Australia. By Nanna of six. from Melbourne Australia on 01/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Cons: Not easy to put onoff Best Uses: Everyday/Practical Use, Rough trail hiking Describe Yourself: Recreational hiker age 60 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After past mistakes, I bought this pair of boots a size up - they are perfect with a thick sock. I wear them round the streets and also hiking in the Aussie bush. The ankle height is comfortable and doesn't rub; great protection from snake bite.
I liked that they were immediately comfortable, and my feet are stable in the boot, but I did find them a little difficult to get on and off.
They are SOOOO INEXPENSIVE for such a great boot compared to what we pay over here.
Long time since I bought hiking boots By maxmaci from Lexington, Ky on 01/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy On/Off, Lightweight, Secure Fit Best Uses: Climbing, Everyday/Practical Use Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the first hiking boot that I've bought in years. The fit is perfect with thicker socks and the boots do require a break in period. I haven't been able to get these out on the trail yet, but they have been great for casual use.

By Lake Placid Hiker from Lake Placid NY on 12/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use Cons: Not Flexible, Slip Off, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Everyday/Practical Use Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these boots to replace my FSN 95 which I finally wore the soles off. My FSN 95 lasted since 2001 with heavy use of working outdoors leading backpacking trips and my own personal adventures.
My FSN 95 are a size 9.5, 42 Eur.
I bought the Voyagers in the same size.
They were way too big. Too wide and too long.
I was disappointed since they are rated as being the FSN 95 successor why the sizing would be so different.
I had to return them.
I still plan on wearing my soleless FSN 95 till I can find a quality replacement.
Now the FSN 95, that is a great boot they sadly discontinued.
By Nurse Ratched from Riverside, CA on 12/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy On/Off, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Best Uses: Everyday/Practical Use, HikingLite Packing Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these (5th pair I tried) because of their reputation - and the fact that they come in 10.5. Made a rash decision to wear them to work (I'm a psych nurse out in the country) and fell in love. Will probably upgrade my rating after I hit the hills in them. The longer I wore them, the better it got. Nice, secure heel and plenty of room for my tootsies. Last pair of boots was Vasque Caldera (6 yrs. old and worn when I hiked a LOT more), which got hard and are too narrow and a little short now (old age foot morph). Love them more than I meant to.
