The "padded collar" cut so deeply into the top of my foot that I couldn't wear them. Resorting to a very non-conventional method of stretching the shoes, I removed the insoles, took 2 canned food items from my cupboard, pushed one as far as it would go into each shoe, and let them stay there for a couple of days. It worked and the shoes stretched out nicely. As for the odd, very loud squeaking noise, I followed the suggestion of other customers and rubbed petroleum jelly along the seams underneath the insole. Worked like a charm. These are now my favorite casual shoes.

They aren't lightweight, but I find them extremely comfortable to stand in for long periods of time - I turn & sculpt wood standing on concrete flooring for hours on end. These clogs are ideal for that.
Like many have already pointed out, the stitching does squeak, albeit moderately in my case. Doesn't bother me at all & isn't loud enough to be a nuisance - wouldn't deter me from buying more of 'em.

I read other comments about the squeaking and used vaseline right away. That does solve the problem. I've only had the shoes a short time but can tell they will last a long time.

I have high arches and a high instep. Since I had them stretched, they are much more more comfortable. Obviously very well made I;m sure I will get 2 or 3 years out of them!

They are a whole size smaller. So order one full size larger then normal. I ordered a half size larger and they were still very small. I gave them to my grandmother who wears a size smaller shoe and they fit her perfectly.

Started squeaking the second day that I wore them, but soon stopped. Love the way they look even though they were lighter in color than I expected.
