The first time I wore them out of the house a woman came up to me and said "I love your shoes! They are so sassy!" I was thrilled. I do not typically buy retail nor do I spend a lot of money of clothing so I am extra critical about items I do choose to purchase "new". I have been very happy with these shoes.

It is the weight of them that I don't especially like, they are as heavy as boots.

I really liked and wanted them but a shoe that doesn't fit doesn't work. My loss.

Had to return for a 1/2 size smaller as I had ordered a full size bigger at first. Very versatile and I am finding that I am wearing them more and more.

Probably too heavy (1 lb. per shoe!) to pack for trips, but you could wear them instead and pack your lighter pair(s). A bit stiff, but comfortable. I use them for daily errands, weekends, etc. Probably best with socks and slacks/jeans. Not stylish, but sort of cute in a practical way. The velcro closure allows adjustment and makes for easy on/off. I liked them well enough to buy 2 pairs in different colors.

The are very durable and give the foot excellent support. They have been a very worthwhile investment.

They are a great shoe. I like lots of support and fairly thick soles and these have both. You can wear them outside even in damp grass, where I am more often than pavement.

The leather would take some breaking in, so give them time, and don't take them traveling unless you have other shoes with you. I'm returning them, but if you wear a B or C, you may find them wide enough

It's a shame the material on the soles/tread is a problem. When they get wet outside they are extremely slippery when you walk inside onto smooth floors, even after wiping them on a rug. Don't know what they will be like in snow, but anticipate not being able to wear them even after a light snow. The tread also looks like it may be wearing out fast. Not sure about that yet.
