Great fit, true to size
By The walkerVerified Reviewer from Michigan on 01/29/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Snow
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use these boots so that I can keep up my daily walks in the cold winter weather. The boots are comfortable and flexible. I'll probably buy a customizable orthotic for them. I would not use these for extremely cold activities like snowmobiling or for serious winter mountain hiking. They are waterproof in snow, but I haven't tried them in sluch or wetter weather.

Feels true to length but the width is narrow. Super light Gore Tex Boot, great for summer hikes or cold weather bushwhacking. Fits close to street shoe.

The boots looked very nice, but the sizing was way too small. There was no way I could even try them on.

Good boot, stiff
By Run Gomer Run from Mid-Mich on 01/20/2009
Pros:
Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
Cons:
Don't Breathe, Not Comfortable
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought these for winter running with ankle support. These have all I need to run over packed snowy roads and off-road trails with traction device (Yaktrax) and I did not twist my ankle once. This was a fairly common occurrence in standard-cut trail shoes. Only problems were the following: Gore Tex does not breathe especially well under heavy workout sweating; also the insoles are flat, no arch support at all; and finally I have to wear duct tape over my Achilles to prevent major blister formation (might need to break-in a bit more). Otherwise, these are great boots, very lightweight, and a good choice for most outdoor activities. Great ankle support too. I chalk up the fit problems to my feet with high arch and instep.

I love this boot, its just what I was looking for. Its light comfortable and watertight. Perfect for walking my dog in the Michigan winter climate. I recently bought a pair of yak traks and look forward to hopefully conquering the ice as well.
