i use it as a tactical flashlight and around the house and garage use. it beats anything in it size for brightness...of course the battery life may not be as good, but gosh it is bright

Probably won't have a very long battery life, too bright.
Can be turned on or flashed on momentarily with back button.
Good thing to store with a house gun.
