My feet always hurt at the end of the day, when wearing slippers. I was looking for a sandal or slipper that I could wear all day. After reading all the reviews, I purchased my first Birkenstock. It's been over a week, and I'm still trying to get use to them. It was really uncomfortable the first few days. Been wearing them around the house. Still not ready to wear them out all day. I got one size smaller, as suggested by others, which was good, they do run big. I normally don't wear narrow width, but the reuglar was too wide for my feet. They seem to have great arch support. I got a great price here at Sierra Trading. I'm hoping they will be my favorite sandals.

I teach figure skating, and after a long day in tight boots and thin blades on the ice, my feet cry for their Gizeh's. I even have Japanese tabi socks (mittens for feet), so I can wear my Gizeh's in cold weather. One caveat - the thong can rip out if you are on uneven terrain and your foot slips down sideways, so no hiking in these.

I was a little worried about the color (burg.) but it worked out fine. It needed breaking in, but after that; it's the shoes I wear when I go anywhere. Great for spring/summer and they look good with shorts or jeans. Great shoes for the price I paid.

Like all Birkenstocks, they require a break-in period of about a week. They also run large in width and length. I suggest going down a size and getting a narrow if your foot tends to be narrow to medium in width.

Ordered a 35N, just a tad small; [...] Because of the style of these sandals they do need to fit your foot just right in order to be comfortable. Sadly, returned.
