White CAN Look Good on Big Feet By Kate from Plainsboro, NJ on 08/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These Birkenstocks have lived up to their reputation. They took a little breaking in, but I recently wore them all day walking around London, and my feet felt fine. And I just like the way they look - a slimmer, trimmer look than many Birkies. Which is helpful for those of us with size 9 feet!
Okay, but different from before By kdenb from Rural Idaho on 08/25/2009 Cons: Chafes, Needs Break-in Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These Ibizas are about a quarter to half inch shorter than the exact same size pair that I bought about 4-5 years ago, plus they mounted the straps a bit more toward the toes. If you can live with that, they should be fine. The nubuck straps do need breaking in.
fairly pleased with purchase By Artsy from New York state on 08/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use every day at home. A good utility sandal.
I would buy this product again By Judy from Newark, DE on 08/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable Cons: Chafes, Needs Break-in Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Everyday, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are the same size as the Florida Birkenstocks that I bought last year, but are tighter across the top of my foot and seem shorter. Hopefully they will stretch across the top and, as they are broken in, my foot will fit better into the length.
Great once they have broken in a bit By Jenniferuc23 from Meadville, PA on 08/03/2009 Best Uses: Barbecues, Everyday Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these b/c I can simply slip them on to walk outside or take a ride downtown for errands. Took a bit of wear due to their location over my arch. I also have a high arch so I expected this to be the case.
I haven't had a pair of Birks for years and am happy I purchased these.
very good quality, comfortable By wyjunkie from Newcastle, WY on 07/28/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My orthopedic doctor recommended that I wear them for house shoes as I wear orthotics in my outdoor shoes and always take off my shoes when I come home. I like them ,they are comfortable to wear.
By I Love Shoes from Connecticut on 07/27/2009 Cons: Painful, Poor Strap Design, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Beach, Everyday, Travel, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual, Earthy, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These Birkenstocks are extremely uncomfortable. The straps are located in a place that hits the top of your foot when you walk and creates a lot of pain on the top of your foot. I have had many pairs of Birkenstocks and this has never happened before. I do not think the straps are too stiff, as others have said--it's where they are located.
