Within 20 minutes my skin hurt from walking around the house. Not a good choice for a long walking trip. Needless to say, I returned the shoes and do not plan to purchase any more Birenstock strap shoes.

The black seems more stylish and I have worn it to various functions. Great shoe - I love Birkenstocks, especially with my previous foot problems. I have no issues with their shoes - heartily recommend.
