By liz from Seattle on 05/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only problem with this shoe is that it isn't being made anymore.
I'm already getting depressed at the thought that I won't be able to
buy this shoe anymore-this is my fifth pair. Always the same size,
always the same great shoe.
By Lyn from Downers Grove, IL on 04/15/2008 Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Unfortunately, I decided to return the shoes. The right foot was comfortable, but the left was too tight in the toes. The inside seam in the tip was causing discomfort. I was tempted to try a larger size, but thought the right shoe might then be too big.
By Cupcake47 from Salt Lake City, Utah on 04/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Not for narrow feet. Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: There are no "cons" for me with this shoe. If you have narrow feet Merrells are probably not for you, unless you wear heavy socks. This shoe has great cushioning in the heel which is important to me.
I Nordic Walk on concrete and asphalt in an urban setting. Stability and cushioning are critical and this shoe does it for me. Highly recommended!

Glad I Bought These Shoes By KC from Bountiful, UT on 04/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, No break in period, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The website description said these shoes run large and to order half size smaller. I did this and had to return the shoes (at my expense) because they were too short. I reordered my normal size and they are just right. I really like these shoes for day hikes and walking the dogs in damp weather. The price was right too.
By happy feet from New Mexico on 03/30/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Not enough big toe room, Stiff, Took a bit to break in Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Merrells make great products, but these are a bit stiff. They could also use a higher arch support, and a little more room for the big toe - the shoes go at the joint into the toe box with a little too much angle. Time will tell if this is a problem or not. Otherwise, they're really well made, look spiffy, and fabulous traction.
By bikenski from albany ny on 03/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, like the wide toe box, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I expect to use them this summer in Glacier Nat'l park. Hope to do both short and long hikes.
