Nice durable hiking /outdoors shirt
By Bob Loblaw from Portland on 08/06/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality
Cons:
Sleeves Too Short
Best Uses:
Athletics, Casual Wear, Travel
Describe Yourself:
High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish
Sizing:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Nice shirt, although I am glad I ordered up one size. The grey is a very nice color. The fabric is a bit heavier and thicker than I anticipated, but its a great fall/spring hiking shirt. The only caveat is that it doesn't have any vents in the back or under the arms. I would certainly buy this again, but I think it will so durable that it will last several seasons.

Order a size larger.
By chumleyVerified Reviewer from Minneapolis, MN., on 07/09/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical
Sizing:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Mountain Hardwear clothing is a tighter fit than most other brands, so get a size larger than is normal. The fabric is thin and light, but it seems to be a tighter weave than other nylon shirts, so it should be able to block wind better. I wouldn't count on the lining to add much warmth, but it probably will aid wicking moisture away.

What a huge dissapointment, the sleeves are so so tiny. I wish i had read other reviewers. I gave to a short friend of mine. Ordering a size larger and hoping it works out.

Comments:
It is a beautiful and comfortable shirt. Excellent for travel. I get a lot of compliments on it; however, it does tend to run a bit on the smaller side. Either make the XL a TRUE XL, or please offer in XXL.

Comments:
Fabric is sort of wind-blocking, and made for a nice piece while camping in NM and UT last week. I found myself wearing this shirt most of the time, where I needed some wind protection but not a bunch of insulation.

Comments:
I'm a sucker for Mountain Hardwear, so when I saw the shirt on sale at Sierra Trading Post, I hopped all over it. I couldn't be more pleased. It's got form and function in spades and would be in the pack should I ever have to consider iron-tough, easy-to-care-for gear for a trip that borders on the rugged side.

Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish
Sizing:

Comments:
This shirt should be one of the basics of a guy's wardrobe. It isn't loud or flashy, works as a thin but warm layer in cold weather, and over a tee shirt on warm nights. The snaps instead of buttons is the icing on the cake. Just remember to order a large if you normally take a medium, 'cause it runs a size smaller than usual.
