Take some time to determine the best location for each instrument.Download or print manuals from CD or web site. They are very helpful but somewhat confusing. Because this device has so many options in providing information it takes some time and attention to learn the various combination of buttons to push. Downloading information to your computer requires a 9 pin male connection on your PC. I have enjoyed this product and doing business with this company. I will shop here again.
By Vince from Newcastle, Australia on 07/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Compact, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a pretty cool gizmo for the price. I set it up for full wired use. It works well, so far anyway. Being in Australia I needed to get a different power supply. I also found wall mounting to be a bit of a nuisance. With a single hanging screw and side mounted controls it is a bit fiddly to use. I cut a slot in the lower braket leading into a hole and set it up so it clicks into the lower hole as it comes to the end of the upper slot, bingo - nice and sturdy.
Another issue is the LCD screen is set up to be viewed at or below horizontal, so I found this out too late and had to relocate the display for easy viewing. But it worked straight out of the box with no dramas, and appears to be quite accurate.

By Downeast sailor from Maine on 06/10/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used this unit for 18 months. the outdoor sensor sometimes does not send in cold or windy weather. It sits above a metal roof at home, about65' from the receiver. On the boat's 30' mast there has been no problem
Great, all inclusive weather station By Elk Hunter from Laramie, WY on 05/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Compact Describe Yourself: Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had this product since last Fall and have really enjoyed it. I didn't have any trouble with the transmitter as indicated by the other reviewers. I really enjoy the wind meter which then gives you the wind chill....wind is almost always constant here so it can be nasty wind chill, station worked fine even in -20F weather last winter(though the batteries might conk out at that temp if they are old). Love the rain gauge too which is self draining. The system also stores a lot of history so you can go back and see the temperature or rain from the previous day or how much it rained while you were out of town. i didn't set up the computer software, so can't comment on that.
