No, I would not recommend this to a friend

There were no mounts/screws etc. with this item! After making a tray station and attaching with complete hook-up, this unit worked accurately for 1 day out of 7. the indoor display unit is cheaply made: leg broke at flip out position. This unit's rain gauge was dirty with residue from previous use and the booklet was written in with personal information from previous owner.

When it works, the weather station gives lots of valuable information. The major problem is the outside transmitter does not last. This is my second transmitter and it failed also. My neighbor warned me against this unit and I should have listened.
