Soft but colors misleading By Alexandra from Arlington, VA on 05/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a lovely soft shirt but the colors are misleading. I bought two: the natural & the dusty purple and returned the latter.
The dusty purple looks acid washed, and since the 'wale' is so fine, this really only shows on the collar and seams, but it made it look too much like denim for my taste.
I kept the natural which is actually an absolutely lovely soft pale buttery yellow. It is however very thin and really requires a camisole. You could wear it with a nude bra, but then the seams will be very apparent when backed by anything but the fairest of skin tones.
Also, the painted metal buttons are extra attractive on the natural color.
The previous reviews (now absent?) commented on how soft, comfy this shirt is and I agree wholeheartedly. I love it. Also I recall someone saying that if it loses shape by the end of the day (mine has not) you can throw it into the dryer -briefly- and it's perfect again.
By KayShay from Redlands, CA on 05/04/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Classy, Comfortable, Earthy, Flattering, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Looks and feels comfortable. Low cut is very flattering. Wear with jeans like you would a T--but it's much better.
colors different but so soft By Love a 1/2 length scoop neck from Arlington, VA on 04/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Thin material in natural Best Uses: Athletics, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought 2, natural & dusty purple, and returned the dusty purple. It has an "acid-washed" quality to it, particularly around the collar. Also, it's a little monotone when wearing with jeans (it is almost a denim color as someone noted).
I kept the natural because of the color - it's actually a lovely, soft buttery yellow, not a true "natural" pigment by any means. However, it is very thin. You'll notice that the seams stand out if you wear it with a nude bra so it looks smarter if you have a camisole to wear underneath (but that makes it warmer to wear).
Love the overall design, proportions & it is super soft. Pretty painted metal buttons (particularly in the natural).
soft and casual, very comfortable By Jenny Mom from Ridgefield, CT on 04/08/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shirt is very comfortable and stretchy. The colors are kind of dyed out for a worn in look so be prepared for that. I bought the dusty purple and it's really more like a blue-denim color. Great with jeans or shorts for hanging around, casual dress. Cute design.

I still can't get over how soft it is. Definitely casual, dressing it up would be a challenge.

The most comfortable shirt By molashkr from albuquerque on 09/14/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Longer cut, stretchy Describe Yourself: Active, Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shirt is true to size. It is fitted but not tight or clingy. It is very stretchy, but by the end of the day, it has lost its shape. Throw it in the dryer (which I usually never put my shirts in the dryer) and it is like new. Like the tag says- it really had no noticable shrinkage. I'm 5'3" and the sleeves came to my elbows, and it has "sitting and bending coverage". The fabric is thin, but I have the faded mauve color so you can't see through it... I don't know about the lighter colors though.
