company does not stand by their product By momwith4 kids from Lyons, Colorado on 02/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket for my daughter who is 8. The jacket was huge on her, but I decided to keep it as she could grow into it. Within a month the zipper broke on it. After trying to find another zipper and having no luck, I contacted the company and ask them to send me a zipper. They told me to send them the jacket and they would fix it. I sent the jacket and now the company is stating they never received it and have quit answering my emails. So I will never buy another product from this company again.
By posygirl from Oregon on 02/22/2009 Pros: 2 jackets in one, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought for daughter. She loves it - especially having the removable liner to wear as a seperate jacket. Runs large - she'ss be wearing it for at least 2 years.
Beautiful but mine was defective By JennP from Central Jersey on 02/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm currently waiting for an exchange / replacement. The liner for the jacket did not zip in properly. (the zippers did not match up). Hopefully we'll get a useable replacement!
My daughter loved the color and looks forward to skiing in it.
By doctor bowhunter from Brookfield, Ct on 02/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased 2 jackets for my daughters ages 7 and 10. The 10 yr old loves hers but the 7 yr old has trouble with the liner jacket coming out of the shell when she removes it. They seem like they are very well made but being 2 jackets (liner inside of a shell) is a little challenging for young children. They are warm and windproof and hopefully last at least a few seasons.
By cora from southeast on 02/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pretty jacket. Only gave it four stars because I have had no chance to test it in really cold temperature. But everything looks good so far.
By Mom of fashion-minded 8-yr-old from Charlotte, NC on 01/13/2009 Pros: 3-in-1 Jacket, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of great pockets, Soft on inside, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this jacket for my 8-yr-old daughter who is average height and slender. This jacket in a size 8 fits her with room to spare, so I would say that it runs a little big for the size. If you like to buy this type of clothing to fit for two seasons, it would probably work to just order your child's current size. The description of the jacket doesn't mention that the inner fleece lining is actually a separate jacket so you can wear both together or each separately. The hood tucks neatly into a pocket in the back of the collar. There are 2 pockets on the outside and several on the inside (incl a media pocket inside). There are nice adjustments hidden in the outer pockets that tighten/loosen the waist. The outer jacket material is not exactly plastic-y as one reviewer described; I think it's just a normal nylon shell and is pliable and comfortable. My daughter hasn't stopped wearing this jacket since she got it. It's appropriate for NC winters, as long as it hasn't gotten too cold. It would be versatile in spring and fall, too. It's an incredible jacket for the price; extremely high quality. I recommend it highly.
Jacket is good value for the money By yvonne from denve on 01/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is nice. It is actually a windbreaker and a polar fleece jacket. Two coats in one.

By Punkin from Spokane, WA on 01/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this because of waterproof shell. Couldn't beat the price for a waterproof jacket. Since liner doesn't zip into jacket, can be troublesome for my 7 year old to take on and off. Need liner with shell for winter weather (which we bought it for)--outer shell is very thin, like a rain jacket (will be good to use in spring/fall rainy weather).
By Wyoming Mom from Laramie, WY on 12/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Claims to be youth but sized for women. Other reviews said it was large, so I ordered down a size. It was still huge, so I exchanged for the next size down. It still came down to her knees. Tagging on coat says "women" [...]
