By momma from Iowa on 12/03/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Inadequate Protection Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat seesm to be great quality. It it not as warm as would like. Is just a waterproof shell and fleece liner. Not sure how it will be in frigid Iowa temps. The liner does not zip to the jacket so there are two zippers to zip which is somewhat difficult for my 7 year old. It has enough room for an additional layer under the fleece. It may end up just as a fall and spring coat if it does not prove warm enough. Still a nice coat for the money.
My girls loved the coat.runs a bit large By Mother from Princeton, NJ on 11/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Low bulk, Water-resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My girls both hate bulky coats that won't fit easily into their lockers, so these answer that issue beautifully. A several layer, thin outer shell comes with a separate coordinating fleece zip up hoodie. The outer shell is thinner than I am used to, but the kids haven't complained about being too cold in it. I don't know how these coats would do in snow play. But there is room to layer. My daughters love the multiple pockets of the outer shell (especially the mp3 player pocket that is accessible without unzipping the coat)The shell has a slightly plastic-y, nylon-y feel, but it hasn't bothered my girls. I usually order a size larger to let them grow into it a bit, but I was glad that I ordered the size they wear right now because it was plenty roomy. I just asked my daughter about it and she said one of her friends asks to trade coats with her because she likes: the ID pocket, the other big pocket and the super soft fleece. The green looked like the picture, the Iris is more of an Iris color (slightly more purple than pink) than the picture suggests. These coats (I ordered one for each daughter) met our needs perfectly!!!

It wasn't clear that it was a 3 in 1, but it is, with a zip-out fleece jacket. The one odd thing is that two coats don't zip to themselves in the usual way. When they're together, you have two zippers to zip up the front. (Or just one, if you want to leave the inner liner unzipped.)
By Jae from Worcester, Ma on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great with the option to remove the fleece liner. It is light weight with the fleece liner without the bulk. My daughter says she can move in it without all the puffiness.
By Duffy7 from Ketchikan, Alaska on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Cons: LinerDoesNotAttach 2 Coat Best Uses: Cool Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat overall is a nice coat. Most lined coats have the liner zip in, this one does not zip itself to the coat and it is rather a pain in the neck to have to zip up two separate zippers. The coat is true to it's tags, waterproof and warm. My daughter stays dry and warm outside at recess. We live in a very rainy climate so this coats works well for her.
By Periwinkle from Minnesota on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cooler fall weather Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very cute coat. Excellent price offered by Sierra Trading Post. Runs a little long in the arms and length. The liner isn't actually zipped into the coat, so it sometimes comes off when taking the coat off. For the price, it's worth the buy though. The fleece liner is cute on it's own to wear too. We ordered the green and it's pretty colors. My 6-year old likes it other than the part of it coming apart when taking it off. I wouldn't say it's warm enough for extreme winter temperatures in Minnesota, but milder weather in the fall maybe and would work for the spring too. It's quality material and washed up really nice.
By a mom from mississippi on 08/04/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Freezing Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was a little worried about ordering this jacket. I am not familiar with the brand and it was pretty cheap, but i was happily surprised by the outcome. It seems nicely made. The green color is pretty and the 6/8 is plenty big enough for my 8 year old daughter.
