By appenzeller1 from Illinois on 03/29/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket is fine. It's waterproof and feels warm, but for a size L it's tight if you wear a couple of sweaters underneath. I really wanted a zip-in liner jacket, but couldn't find one at a reasonable price. This is ok, although the velcro loops are pretty flimsy. The jacket feels pretty warm, but it is not as warm and air-tight as a zip-in would have been. The color is very nice. The sleeves are long, but I like it that way.
By The Husband from Lexington, KY on 03/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my wife and she loves it. The coat and liner can be worn as separate pieces and both look fine alone. Together they are a great combination.
Even better that I had hoped By Walkin' the dog in every weather... from Philadelphia, PA on 03/09/2009 Pros: Beautiful color, Breathable, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a coat that could replace my hot, stiff rain jacket--and double as a spring/fall jacket. This baby turned out to truly be a 4 season jacket. The colors of both the jacket and liner are beautiful. It's easy to zip the two pieces apart/together, and the hood folds in nicely. My only (small) complaint is that the neck is bulky--but soft and comfortable.
By Busy Mom from Cincinnati Ohio on 03/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The minute I received this product, I haven't not worn it. Regardless of the weather, I wear it. In cold weather, I leave the liner attached and don't get cold in the least bit. In warmer weather, the liner comes out with ease and makes a wonderful spring jacket. This jacket definitely lives up to the hype it was given. I'd buy it again without hesitation.
By Winter Woman from Northern Indiana on 02/02/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Sleeve length too long Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is one of the warmest jackets I have ever owned. Usually I find 4-in-1 jackets much too heavy and bulky and do not buy them for that reason. This jacket looked very streamlined in the STP photo and I am pleased to say it really did meet my expectations. I find the color (aegean) very attractive with the aegean/white combo very feminine. I didn't really care for the color of the zip out fleece liner (too pastel) - I wish it was the same as the outside of the jacket. It is easy to get the liner in and out and the fleece is very soft as well as warm. The jacket fit me well, but I can see that it might be tight in the chest and hips if you have a curvier frame. I will be wearing this jacket without the liner in early spring and fall so I expect it will get a lot of use. Overall I am pleased with my purchase. It's a keeper!
By kk from Portland, OR on 01/30/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this jacket for walking on cold days. It is warm and the collar comes over the neck when zipped up. The liner sleeves tend to ride up over long sleeve shirts. I have not used it without the liner yet and have not used it in the rain so cannot really judge whether or not it is waterproof
