By PDX Ruth from Portland on 01/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Great Traction, Nice looking Cons: Not Comfortable, Not wide enough at arch Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have the Lowa Renegade II hiking boots and was looking for a Lowa shoe that looked better for every day. These have the exact same sole and I ordered the same size (7.5), but the width at the back of the arch was insufficient and hurt there. I have sensitive feet, so this was a disappointment for me, but would not apply to everyone.
They are good solid shoes, just didn't work for me.
Nice shoes. Do run large. By beppy the traveler from salt lake city,ut on 01/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I saw that others mentioned these shoes run big, so i ordered accordingly. They are comfy. However, they do make my feet look long and big. It's just a big shoe, i guess. I do have larger feet, so I'm aware of certain shoes making my feet look larger or smaller.
Would not wear anything but a Lowa. By Diane from Wisconsin on 12/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear the hightops for walking and the low hikers for everyday wear. The hightops stop my ankles from rolling when I walk. The others I wear for everyday use.
