Good walking/weather shoe By PMac from Madison, WI on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am usually an 8.0 or 8.5, so after reading the other reviews I went went with the 8.5 and those fit well. Very comfortable and cute. Not the most stylish shoes I've ever had, but they are a great all-purpose boot--especially for Midwestern weather.
Note: I also bought a different style Le Canadienne boot and ordered the 8.0 and they feel a little big, so sizes can be tricky.
La Canadienne Value Boots By Hope from Salt Lake City, UT on 10/06/2009 Pros: Practical warm materials Cons: Narrow toe wide arch, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: All-weather everyday use Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very disappointed that the boots did not fit well. The toe box is narrow, but the arch and rise is very large.
By Shoe Diva from Florida on 09/29/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Clean, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These "Value" boots are almost idential to the "Alicia" style, which I ordered and returned because I didn't like the navy color. I purchased these in brown. They are not fleece lined like the "Alicia" boots, instead it is more of a fabric lining, which is the only difference that I can see between the two styles. The boots are marked size 7 on the bottom, but the inside tag reads 71/2 which is my normal size and fits well. The top edge of the boot is more narrow than a lot of boots, but will be good for wearing under slacks. Overall, for the sale price I paid, these are a very good value.

By Up North Gal from Alpena, MI on 09/07/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Stable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots very sharp looking with jeans or dress slacks. Comfortable out of the box for all day wear. Even with the lining they are comfortable for indoors. I've not had the opportunity to see how they will fare in winter/cold weather yet. I did follow the recommendation to order a size up and that seems to work out well.
By Christine from California on 08/27/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are well-made and beautiful. HOWEVER--they are almost impossible put on, too narrow, and at least 1/2 size too small.
By Tara from NY, LI on 08/02/2009 Best Uses: Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are well made, high quality shoes. They look better than on the picture. The leather is soft, and sustantial, and they are comfortable enough for long walks. They look good with jeans. The small wedge heel is perfect for a little lift without affecting comfort of walking.
La Canadienne Value Boots By Sociology Scholar from Upstate NY on 06/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Clean, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a narrow foot, and both 7 and 7/12 fit fine - not a lot of difference between the two sizes. If you have a wide foot, I would order up a half size. These boots are extremely comfortable and nice looking. I ordered two additional pairs, after falling in love with the first one.

They are handsome and stylish and comfortable like all La Canadienne (although this is only my 2nd pair). The brown is quite nice - wish they had them in black too - I would've ordered a 2nd pair!
