By 50ishNFit from Chico, CA on 02/01/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Warm Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually order 1/2 size up on boots and did not because several comments - now I wish I had, but I just wear thinner socks. I did put a little insert in to keep from sliding forward. I really like the heel and the comfort.
By informed shopper from Albuquerque, NM on 01/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Easy To Clean, Stable, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Formal Events, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these boots in green and bordo, and I absolutely love the shape, style, and comfort! I usually walk 12-15 minute from my car to my office, and these boots did not bother me at all even when they were brand new. They look great with everything: short skirts, long skirts, pants. I love the heel in the bordo and green boots but I don't it in the other colors. I am only recommending, highly recommening, this shape and colors.
Not the La Canadienne I'm accustomed to By celticdove from Juneau, Alaska on 01/14/2009 Pros: Cute, Stable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Conservative, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This pair of boots was not the La Canadienne usual quality, they were a thinner leather, and had a strong odor, not the usual leather smell, the side zip was so narrow at the top, was unable to zip up fully, have never had this problem before, and have had lots of side zip, lower style boots. They fit in width and length true to size.
For thin legs and ankles. By secondadonna from New York, NY on 12/28/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sending these back because they were tight around the lower shin area. (OK, I have large calves.) Not too bad, but with medium-weight socks they wouldn't be comfortable. The look was average and they didn't feel like real leather (but I think they are). Probably would be good if you need to wade through lots of snow and ice and still want to wear dressier (non sporty) boots. I liked the heel (on the Bordo) and they seemed comfortable in the foot area. A perfectly sized 9-1/2. Just not my thing, I guess.

By spanpris from New England on 12/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Clean, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: For the sale price I'd say these were worth it. I bought them because I've always seen this brand and wondered what made them so expensive. They are comfortable enough and don't look bad but I would never pay full price for these.

By canyon elf from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts on 12/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Easy To Clean, Stable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm between an A and B width. I can get winter socks in these, yet can wear nylons and not slide about. I bought green. They are great with pants or long skirts. Very comfortable, the heel is not too high. Very well made (I come from a family of Austrian cobblers). I just worry about shoe polish. Where can I purchase similar green polish? I wore them all day in the hospital and another day shopping. No break in time. No blisters, etc.
By Olive Oil from Amman, Jordan on 12/13/2008 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I rarely make a negative comment on something I buy at STP, but these boots were too stiff when I tried them on. I decided to return it right away. :(
