By So Sad from Snow Belt on 03/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish Cons: Not Warm, Not Waterproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Daily walks, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: With my first glance and impression, I was so happy. But....these boots did not keep my feet warm in 20 degree weather.
In the first puddle, whoops the boots got a leak between the leather patches.
I am dissapointed
By Frenchy from Cleveland Hts, OH on 01/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We just had 10" of snow and am I glad that I got these boots! Warm, comfortable and good for the snow. They're quite cute on also (in a winter wonderland sort of way).
By BB from SLC, UT on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was worried that there is no side zipper as I have large calves and a high instep but I had no trouble at all pulling the boots on. I normally wear an 8-8.5 and ordered these in a 9.5. They are loose without socks but I believe they will be fine with thick socks. They are warm and comfortable.
Not as nice as anticipated By Shooley from Maine on 01/26/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The right boot is very uncomfortable due to an interior stitching problem. I'm going to send them back. In general, I was also expecting the boots to be nicer since they're La Canadienne.
Caution! These Boots are not Waterproof! By Sky High from Tucson, Az on 01/13/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable, Not Warm, Not Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I wore these boots I thought they were wonderful. But that was walking in solid snow conditions. Unfortunately, they do not hold up to soft snow and puddles (just walking through the Gondola Square). Water leaked in right through the foot of the boot! Both of my socks were wet and my feet half numb. I can't believe no one else has had this problem! I hope, for their sake, that it isn't a flaw in the design. If a company advertises waterproof and then charges hundreds of dollars for it, I better not end up all wet. Looks like I did though. :(
By winter walker from Upstate NY on 12/10/2008 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction Best Uses: Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very soft leather in leg. The foot was alittle bit too heavy. They are attractive for a winter snow boot and fit very well. Hope they are waterproof as listed.
would buy again and others by the maker By teacher from south carolina on 11/25/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They look good and are comfortable. stylish and cozy without looking too bohemian
Sturdy boot with sole built for snow By Hike with dogs from Pacific Crest Trail, Sierra City, CA on 11/20/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very sturdy well built boot that would be perfect for trips around town in the snow. Would look great with pants tucked in or a long skirt. But...much to wide for a narrow foot, the heel slips even with heavy socks. Might work for those with wider feet.
By Tigerlilly from Sussex, UK on 11/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Unbelievably cute, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, For total comfort anytime Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Same as the other lucky Sierra customers with great taste who managed to secure a pair of these boots before the sizes and colours began selling out, they came out of the box, onto my feet and are blissful in every possible way. Only problem I have is taking them off! As an Ugg boot addict, I would say these are just as warm - if not warmer; more comfortable - as the soles have better podiatric support; way more stylish; and much easier to keep clean (in the leather versions). Look sexy and fab with woolly tights and a skirt and under/over trousers/jeans. Much admired. Sierra - please restock!!!!!
Like They Were Made for Me By Loopner from Boston, MA on 11/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So comfortable, from the moment I first put them on. I was surprised how well they fit, since I am a size 9 but ordered these in 9.5 because 9 was unavailable. Warm as toast, but not suffocating.
