Best wool socks I have ever purchased! By All About Warmth from Newark OH on 02/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Insulating, Lightweight Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Cross Country, Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My feet get cold easily, and only wool will keep them warm and dry. These socks have a high wool content yet are as soft as cotton. And the toe seam is the most comfortable I have worn.
By Tired medical student from Ann Arbor, MI on 01/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Insulating, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill, Long shifts at work Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Smartwool socks rule! The ski socks are particularly great when you have to work 36hr shifts on your feet! Excellent support. I personally prefer the midweight ski socks over the lightweight--they're a bit softer, but take more room in your shoes.

By skibum from Summit County, CO on 01/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Insulating, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Collegiate/Pro Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a male ski instructor and find these socks to be very useful. I seem to be between medium and large in mens sock size, but the womens large fits just right. These socks are very light weight and good for most ski days, but I have a thicker version for the very cold, below 0 ski days.
