By Dr Joy from Mentor, OH on 05/31/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Excellent cushioning, Excellent heel support, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight Cons: Toe box too narrow, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the look of the shoe and the heel support and cushioning is great, but the toe box is quite narrow. I have high arches and mild bunion deformity,so pressure across the ball of my foot can cause bursitis in my big toe joint.
I was dissapointed. I really wanted to love these shoes. My Asics fit better, I just had to add different insoles.
more of a light exercise shoe By potatohead mom from ofallon, IL on 05/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: they could have been great but the catalog suggested they ran small so I ordered up a half size and... they were a half size too big! Don't believe what you read-- although like all Ryka they run a tad narrow, these are to my mind, true to size. And they're kind of cool looking too. They'd be great for bopping around town, that kind of thing.
By lovenewshoes from SLC, UT on 05/25/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really cute shoes in a good neutral color. Great for work, after a long day, no tired legs/feet.
By Reluctant athlete from New Orleans, LA on 05/17/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable, Well padded footbed Cons: A bit narrow toe area Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the shoes for working out as my feet have little padding and am having foot pain. These shoes protect the bottom of my feet and allow me to make it around the track. I also have a gel sports insole in them for added comfort. This may be the cause of the narrow feel to the front of the shoe. Also, they do a strange bulge at the ankles, but overall. I'm grateful for foot comfort.
