It runs about a half size short, so I ordered up to fit over athletic socks.
Most Comfortable Shoe I Ever Had! By Rachel from Dallas, TX on 03/28/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Cons: A bit wide in the toe box Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these as a stylish athletic shoe, but they are too pretty to work out in! They look great with velour leisure wear. I ordered a half size up as recommended and the length is perfect. They are a tad wide in the toe box, but not so much as to be a problem. I just wear thicker socks. The cushioning is FANTASTIC! I have never worn such comfortable shoes!
GOOD CUSHION, a bit narrow By Bessie the runner from Pocatello, ID on 03/18/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am training for a marathon and these shoes are comfortable on shorter runs. However, as my feet swell, they become too snug in the ball of the foot. This tends to cause my feet to go numb. Hoping they will relax some. Love the grafics on the sides!
A narrow shoe that is comfortable By Curves girl from Tupelo, MS on 03/16/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Shoe is narrowYeah, Stable Cons: Add insertsworks, Not Enough Support Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Sight seeing, Standing long times, Trails, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have three other pair of RYKA's and love them all.
I bought this pair for summer and love the classy look they have. They do run 1/2 size smaller than
other shoes, but once you adapt to that, the fit is
wonderful. I added a gellin arch support and that
makes them perfect.
By Rachel from Dallas, TX on 03/09/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Definitely order 1/2 size up. I usually wear a 7.5 in athletic shoes, but ordered an 8, and they fit perfect. These are super comfortable! The ankle padding is dreamy and supportive. And, they are adorable - not your typical athletic shoes! LOVE THEM!
very comfortable, high quality By ctgrl from CT on 03/05/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are extremely comfortable and great quality. I don't love the way they look, but I don't care too much about that. They are very stable and keep my loose joints in check. I have a high arch but hate shoes that do, and these are perfect. I've never had sneakers this comfortable before.
By Sue 2 decade runner from Mpls, MN on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Good Traction Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: If you like a highly cushioned shoe this is not the best. I had not tried Ryka previously and wanted to give the brand a go. I change my shoes every 3 months and run 20-25 miles per week. I would not purchase this shoe again.
By busy mom of three from pittsburgh, pa on 02/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe runs small. I took others advise and purchased a half size bigger then normal and they were still too small. THe cushion in the bottom also seems to be made for a high arch, which I am not. The back of the shoe seems narrow while the front is wide. Very ackward feeling shoe.
By Liz the Librarian from San Diego, CA on 02/16/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Stable Describe Yourself: Rarely Workout Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work in a library and spend a lot of time on my feet. I bought these shoes for work and they are very comfortable. I like the fact that the coloring is subtle (unusual for this type of shoe) and they go with a lot of my clothes.
