By Sara from vermont on 07/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Closures cumbersome, Collar bulky w stow hood, Drab color, Hood doesn't stow well Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this rain jacket for three season wear, in cold weather with a fleece under it. I love that it is goretex. My last rain jacket peeled apart. I hate the hood. It flops over my eyes, and is very difficult to retrieve from in back by the way it is attached to the jacket-a very short zipper. It also makes a very bulky and uncomfortable collar when it is stowed. The front closures are awkward. There's no simple way to just zip it up without going through several other layers.
Beautiful jacket if it fits you By Artist from St. George, UT on 02/22/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I almost kept it but it was too tight in the hips for layering. It's a beautiful looking jacket and I was sorry to send it back.

By PA hiker from Philadelphia on 11/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great all-around shell jacket. Excellent quality! The hood is well cut for good vision and has well constructed toggle adjustments and it is removable. It is parka length on me (ordered a large, I am 5'5)just covers my back side. A good touch is the zipper opens at the bottom too, which gives increased range of motion when walking fast or hiking. And helps when you have larger hips and thighs. I haven't had the chance to test it in the rain yet, but can tell that the fabric is high quality and the seams are taped. Best part about this jacket is that it is a matte finish and looks a lot smarter than a shiney brightly colored ski jacket.
Just what I wanted and then some! By The Traveler from Des Moines, IA on 11/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Travel to rainy areas Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Actually protects from water and wind. It is quite comfortable at freezing with fleece under it. The hood that can be adjusted to fit so it neither billows out nor covers my eyes. Further more, it actually looks good.
By ghost from berkeley on 07/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in Berkeley where it is foggy, windy , cool and at times rainy. I like to be able to wear a vest underneath so I ordered a larger size to make sure it was possible.. and glad I did.
Wisely cut and the attention to construction detail is impeccable..the best part is the fabric is matte & silent --not crinkely and shiney.
