Good for fair weather and layering By Tex from College Station, TX on 10/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Layering Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good looking jacket that is very warm provided it isn't windy or raining. I'm looking forward to trying it out underneath a shell. It has plenty of pockets and I'm planning on using it on spring and early summer high altitude hikes (again, underneath a shell). If you're looking exclusively for functionality, you should know that most of the sticker price goes into its looks and MH name.

Wind travels right through it though.

Warm, Technical, Looks good By Backpacker & Trendsetter from Modesto, CA on 08/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Looks like wool, Looks really really good, Pockets, Technical, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Hiking if not backpackin, Night out in the cold, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got the Peat Moss Green, and the color is true to the name. This is a technical fleece, with many surprise pockets which have endless uses. It's thick and warm, and the fabric looks & feels like a knitted wool sweater. Great jacket, great price! Mountain Hardwear makes jackets and other garments that are short (in the chest, not the sleeves). It comes down to my belt, and not much farther. But I have a lot of their stuff, and it all looks good, works, and is comfortable.

Mountain Hardwear makes short stuff. By Jaffrey from Maine on 06/10/2009 Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Most Mountain Hardwear gear that I've tried has been a bit on the short side, but not so short that it is a problem. This item, however, is very short - belly button length.
