By JJ from Raleigh, NC on 11/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the jacket, the only bad thing is that the sleeves are really wide, and the jacket itself is a little short by the waist...but it is very warm once you move around a little bit and it is wind resistant which is awesome!
Great Cold Weather Jacket! By sierra hiker from Berkeley, CA on 11/10/2008 Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this jacket on a backpacking trip where it snowed 1 ft and the night time temps were 20-25 degrees . The jacket feels a bit thin and does not have a separate liner, which i was a bit worried about, but i never needed the additional fleece that i had brought in the case that it was not warm enough. A long sleeved base layer and fleece vest kept me nice and warm despite the cold and snow. I can't wait to take it skiing! If i had a complaint it would be that the sleeves are a bit shorter than i prefer, but i'm rather tall.

It's comfy and warm.

Beautiful and great quality By kayak equinox from Greenville, SC on 10/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is the third Mountain Hardwear item I own. I've never been displeased with any of their products. As long as you follow the care guidelines, the fabrics hold up well. The fit is terrific - made for curvy girls, and the Steep jacket somehow makes a bulky ski jacket appear slim on the body.I really liked the style, not too grunge, not too elitist skier. Loved all the pockets and "gadget" like extras -zip-off skirting, card/lift ticket pocket. Sooo cool!
By Outdoor Red from Spokane, WA on 09/05/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Honestly I haven't tried this jacket out yet. It's not quite cold enough yet. I like this jacket overall but I was surprised to find that it was bigger than I expected. I'm 5'9", about 135 lbs and have a 36 bust. I'm usually between a medium and a large. I bought the medium and it is almost too big. It's nice that it's loose as it is easier to layer under but not quite as flattering as I expected. I think I'll keep it anyway. It is very comfortable and I love the pocket lining.
