By Running Heather from South Bend, IN on 10/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've tested this product so far in 50 degrees with 25mph winds, as well as in a damp upper 40's. It has proven to be very wind proof and very warm. I'm hoping that it will be sufficient down to about 30 degrees - it just hasn't gotten that cold, yet. I should be able to wear it under a shell outer jacket when winter and single digits set in.
As for sizing, I usually have issues with sleeve length anyway, as I'm 5'8'' and 127lbs. I usually wear a 4 top (sometimes a 2 in dress size... no sleeves) and I have no hips, so I ordered a small. With my arms straight down by my side, the sleeve length is perfect. When I'm driving, the sleeves start to ride up a bit more than I would like, and if I stretch my arms straight out, parallel to the ground, the sleeves come up way too much. But, I'd rather have just slightly too short sleeve length than wear a medium which would not look as nicely fitted as the small does.
Cozy & warm for cold winter weather By SkiHard from Loveland, CO on 10/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an awesome jacket. Rather heavy-weight, so maybe not the best for layering, but I don't think you would need to layer it. Not so great for wet weather, such as rain. Snow shakes right off, but Im not sure how it would be in heavy rain. I love this jacket, it's the first thing I grab on a cold windy day.

Exchanged jackets for a North Face, which I know will fit. Great prices on this site, [...].
By QT3.14 from Seattle on 09/01/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the reviews I purchased my normal size (med- usually wear 6-8) and found it way too big. Sleeves went beyond my fingers. Length was past hip. If you are used to the "generous" american sizing then order your normal size. If used to the closer fitting North Face or european sizing then order down. The outer fabric, while soft and fuzzy, is reminiscent to a carnival teddy bear, and the added bulk of the interior fabric adds to the picture. Is soft though, and pretty.
By JdCana from Canada on 06/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft to the touch, Very inviting, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In Canada it can be almost freezing in June. Tested the jacket in this temp and I was smiling!!! It truly is a windstopper and so warm. I have technical fleeces that don't compare to the feeling of having this on. It's so cozy that you're tempted to wear it indoors. The only cons are that the pockets don't keep your hands warm and it's too bulky to go under an outer rain layer.
By dog walker from Wellesley, MA on 01/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's warm enough that my old down jacket doesn't see much use anymore, and it's truly windproof, too. It's January in New England and this is still the jacket I reach for most days, but it's breathable enough that I was comfortable wearing it through most of the fall as well. Sizing is a little tricky. I usually wear a 10 or medium on top, a 12 or large on the bottom. I ordered a large based on other reviews, but it was way too big in the chest and shoulders. I returned it for a medium, which fits, just close around the hips. There's enough room to wear a not-too-bulky sweater under it, though honestly, I haven't needed to layer under it much; it's that warm. Did I mention that it's so soft that people keep touching it because they can't believe it at first? Also, the color is awesome, orange enough to stand out but brown enough that it doesn't clash with everything.
By GMM from Ft. Washakie, Wyoming on 12/26/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When we searched for a "fuzzy coat" for our daughter in law, we knew what we had in mind. We went to other websites that didn't quite assure us what the product would look like. STP Website was accurate with the description and the webshot was amazing.
It was the exact present that she wanted. She still hasn't taken it off!
