great for hauling out to training class By four doggie mom from Mililani, HI on 06/28/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight Best Uses: Auto Travel, Training Describe Yourself: Professional Pet Trainer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haul it out to training sessions at the neighborhood park, much easier to break down and haul around than the flat folding type of soft crate. It could use more ventilation for hotter climates, but it is okay when there is some good shade to put it under. Like with all soft crates it is not chew or scratch resistant and your dog needs to be properly crate trained.
not the same as black one sold last year By Agility enthusiast from Harpers Ferry, WV on 03/24/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight Cons: Not much ventilation Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the black variety several years ago and it was great! The crate had screening on all sides. I use at dog trials when warm and liked the screening so that a breeze will travel through the crate. The zipper is the weak link and eventually the zipper gave out so I ordered this one and it is NOT the same. This one has mesh on the front door and a little narrow window high up on the back. The rest is not screened and will be very warm in warmer weather. No chance of cross breezes. I am sending back as my Border Collie likes ventilation.
Big dog/small car problem solver By Oh2dance from Southeastern USA on 02/22/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight, Safe, Secure Best Uses: Auto Travel, Large Dogs Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our dog needs a big crate, but the big metal crate wouldn't fit through the door of our car. This crate was a lifesaver for us, as it can be inserted folded and then opened inside the car. The mesh is technically transparent, but it does impair rear view mirror use a bit. Our dog is crate trained, so she just goes to sleep in it, but I wouldn't recommend it for a dog who isn't crate trained and is a chewer. We use it for travel, and I'm not sure how she would react if left alone in it. If she wanted to, she could easily chew her way out. Time will tell. Right now I'm just so grateful to have a crate that I can get in the car!
Stiching wears out quickly By Cat from OHIO on 01/16/2009 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport Best Uses: Agility, Auto Travel, Large Dogs, Training Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Thoughts these creates were great when i first got them. I run agility and use them for travel and trialing. the top seem that holds the big side door up quickly (less the three months of use) wore our and started to come unraveled on both of the creates i got. the zipper finally came off the track and now i have unusable dog 'huts' instead of closing creates. i wrote ABO, but they do not guarantee or warrantee there products

My half Aussie Cattledog half Rottie loves this crate. I placed her floor pad inside and left the screen open and she adopted it immediately. She feels safe and people think it's a console at first glance.

By Clothes Horse from Alexandria, VA on 12/24/2008 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lightweight and tall but somewhat narrow. Good for medium to large dogs but not very large dogs. Because it is fabric with zippers, it is better if your dog is already crate trained.

Love it! Great for travel By Herding kelpies from Denver CO on 10/17/2008 Pros: Easy Assembly, Easy to Transport, Effective, Lightweight, Safe Best Uses: Home Safety, Large Dogs, Training Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We love this. We have two 40-pound dogs (a Kelpie and a shepherd mix) and our shepherd mix likes to eat things like trash and drapery when unsupervised, so we have to put him in a crate when we're not here. We have to crate both of them when at hotels and go out. So we've been lugging around heavy metal crates. This is easy to put up, lightweight, fits easily in the trunk. I wish it had more mesh sides so they could look around more. Also, there's no place to hang a water dish, so we have to put one on the bottom. I can see why the people with active escape-prone curious puppies have problems keeping them in--it's just zippers, fabric and mesh. But our dogs just go in, eat their biscuit and go to sleep, so it works very well for us.
