Best Lightweight BC Ski!!!
By lawtalkinggirl from Alaska on 11/13/2009
Pros:
Good Carving Ability, Good Grip, Great Flotation, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Downhill, Icy Conditions, Moguls, Powder
Describe Yourself:
Advanced Skier
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These are the lightest BC ski I could find. At only 6 pounds, mounted with Dynafit bindings with 3-buckle Dynafit boots the whole setup feels like skiing uphill on a cloud. Downhill they perform well too. Plenty fat for a lighter-weight skier, and I am happy to compromise on width to get a lighter ski for the ascent. I like that it is available in 165 cm - an extra 5 cm for a 170 cm ski adds weight and length that I don't necessarily need in the BC.

Comments:
Great lightweight BC ski that floats surprisingly well even though only mid-fat. I have them mounted with Silvretta Pure bindings and it is a great lightweight AT set-up. Skis chatter a bit on icy crud because they are so lightweight. I also love the fact that nobody else has this ski - I feel special, haha.
