The liner is snug & supportive,but some might not like that. Very light weight, seems adequately durable- I've had em for 4 months or so.

Also,that pair was short by today's standards which allowed my 16 year old son to mock me.
These shorts are longer, comfortable, have a pocket (need glasses for some of the machines) and feel great. Really recommend them.

The more important issue is the stash pocket is poorly designed. It doesn't hold keys well. I would recommend only if you weren't concerned about the stash pocket.
