By willing to try from Oakland, CA on 09/30/2009 Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked these shoes and my regular size was available, but half a size smaller was not, so sadly I returned them.
By CA Hiker from Northern CA on 08/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Been wearing (and loving) Salomons for years - so I am adjusting to the new lacing system. Tucking the big loop into the top seems a bit cumbersome.

By Like to walk a lot from Arlington, TX on 02/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these to work or for long walks. They provide great support, though I did add my own inserts with arch and metatarsal support. The important thing is that they have plenty of toe room for when my feet get longer late in the day or when I walk a lot, and the sole is sturdy and provides the firm support that will keep my arch from over-flexing. There were a couple of things that took some breaking-in time: The tongue seemed too long and pushed into the top of my foot/ankle for several wearings (worst on right foot), but seems to have softened up and no longer feels that way. Also the right shoe felt too narrow and squeezed my small toe, but seems to have loosened up now. My feet are wide in the toe area so not being wide enough is a frequent disqualifier for shoes that I try. I am still not totally a fan of the speed lacing, though, and I hope these laces prove durable enough to last as long as the rest of the shoe.
Order a whole size larger! By e-ster from Boulder, CO on 01/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Don't know because the sizing was so off. I ordered a half size smaller than normal and the shoe was still HUGE. I had to return it and was unwilling to reorder and try again.
By Marsha from Schweitzer Ski Area Idaho on 11/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A directed by STP, I ordered a size smaller. (Actually 1 and 1/2 size smaller). However, it was still too big in all directions. I was afraid to try even another size smaller because the volume of the shoe was so large.
