By JLAM from Priest River, ID on 01/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought these socks would be great in my hiking boots...not so. My feet froze the first time I wore them...and I was at a local restaurant having lunch. These will have to be spring, summer, and fall socks. Sierra Trading Post Responded on 01/24/2009

Great material! For those who want to take care of your feet, while hiking 50 km. in a weekend. Trust me! Get them!
By Chermie from Manchester, WA on 01/13/2009 Pros: Cushy, Regulates Temperature Well Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks are quite thick, which is great if that is what you are looking for. I am a 'smart wool' girl and was thinking these would be similar- I will use them around the house as lazy day footwear, will stick to 'smarts' for hiking, snow wear, etc.

A bit bulky but does the job By Nature lover from San Francisco, CA on 01/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Looping covers ankles, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These would no doubt be great for hiking, but I wear them on cold days to walk even in the city; the interior looping over the ankles adds both comfort and warmth, though it does add bulk. I have many Bridgedale socks (also seconds) which have worn very well, so I assume these will too.
By Little Miss Sunshine from Bloomington IN on 12/20/2008 Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks are really comfortable, cushy and warm. Unfortunately they are not durable at all. At the end of the first day I wore them, they were very stretched out. The socks were also incredibly pilled where they met the top of my shoe. I recommend these for house socks not for use inside of shoes!
By Bekah from Buffalo, NY on 12/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really warm, cushy, and soft! The only complaint is the elastic ring leaves a mark around my little calf, but can easily be fixed by folding it down. Keeps my feet toasy and warm in boots or around the house! For the price, I think I may buy more!
By Intermittent Jogger from Cincinnati, OH on 12/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, I use these for running Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I need cushioned socks to jog in, but not ones that are too bulky for my shoes. These are perfect--extra cushioning for the heel, toes and arch and none anywhere else.
