By old guy from Pacific Northwest / Cascade Mtns on 01/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great light layer for being active, with good wind resistance, also does well in light rain/misty conditions. I have used this for very foul weather hiking, nordic skiing, running, paddling. Makes an especially good layer for nordic skiing in the 25-35 degree F range, or under a goretex shell for nasty conditions. True to size, but having said that, a form-fitting cut.
By Old and Bold from Covina, Ca on 12/12/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the 4-way stretch and slim fit. Construction and materials are 1st rate. If I had to nitpick I would eliminate the velcro straps at the wrists as they impede when worn as a base layer, but that is a very minor. All in all a great product at a great price.
Great, lightweight jacket. By Danny the Paddler from Northern California on 12/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love this jacket. I bought it to wear when I go paddling, but it feels so comfortable I also use it as an every day jacket. For something so thin and light, it does a very good of keeping the wind out on modestly cold days. Due to the athletic cut of the jacket, it would make a great mid layer for days in the snow.

By The White Kenyan from New England on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Cons: Zippers on wrong side Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great for all purposes. It will keep you warm probably til around 32 degrees fahrenheit. The only drawback is that it zippers from the left side, like women's clothing. Other than that, it's a magnificent jacket that I would recommend to everyone.
Good, lightweight softshell By Outdoor Aggie from Texas on 10/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great jacket at a good price. I have been wearing it while mountain biking, and it does a good job of blocking the wind. My only complaint is the cut of the jacket, it seems to be about an inch shorter than I would prefer. This is an athletic cut jacket, so be aware of that. Longer sleeves, tighter through the chest. Overall, I am happy with the jacket. It is very stretchy, allow for complete flexibility, and super lightweight. When I am not wearing it, it adds no noticeable weight to my backpack.
