And I probably wore them close to once a week.

They do not droop down the ankle at all. I have been very happy with all of the Bridgedale socks that I have purchased from STP.

great socks, even for the wool-averse! By Dogfriend from Tucson, AZ on 02/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So far I've only worn these under mid-weight hiking boots to take an hour-long brisk walk around town before I try them out for real hiking. These socks fit well, prevented rubbing from the (new) boots, don't strangle the calves, and didn't irritate my skin, even though I usually can't even wear merino wool without it causing me to itch. They are a nice mid-weight and my feet didn't feel too warm in them. Of the two pair I bought, one didn't match--the band at the top of one was a different color than the other--but it didn't seem like a big enough deal to me to send them back, even though STP has always been great about my returns.
