By Cold feet in the midwest from Chicago, IL on 02/12/2009 Cons: Don't wick moisture well Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for socks that kept my feet warm. I go in and out all day. When inside, my feet sweat, so I need something that dries quickly and stays warm enough while damp. I have used merino wool socks for years and they work well. In the description, it said the socks included wool and polypropylene. But when I got them, there was fiber I did not recognize. It may or may not the same, but either way, they have not worked nearly as well as the Smartwool socks I also bought. Perhaps they work in warmer climates, but not in Chicago. For what it is worth, they fit well, but the front of the sock, over the ankle, are thin, but the rear of the ankle is not. I don't know if this is good or bad, but it seems odd. They just go on and on and on. They wear extremely well and maintain their elasticity, comfort, and wicking ability. I wear them weekly and the last time I bought these socks was about 5 years ago and they still have some life yet. I bought new socks because the old ones were getting a little thin.

They appeared flawless to us! And a great deal for top-quality socks I couldn't afford to pay full price for.

By ovlov from yarmouth, maine on 02/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sock pills quickly and evidence of second quality was apparent with toe seams sewn improperly and threads not trimmed. Socks however do what they are intended for-fit well, stay warm, wick moisture but do bunch up after being worn for more than two times without a wash, even if only for a short time.
By TomTom from Silverthorne, CO on 02/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Stylish, Wicks Away Moisture Cons: Not labeled correct size Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work outdoors in the mountain and need good socks. I tend to use these socks in everyday use depending on the activity of the day. I also like to wear a different pair of socks everyday.
I bought 2 pairs of these socks in medium. One pair fit just right, while the other pair was packaged wrong for its large size.
Everything was taken care of and I have added these nice, warm comfortable socks to my drawer. I would have liked to have 2 pair but I don't have anything I need to buy right now.

By Crotach from Flagstaff, AZ on 01/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been buying a few pairs of these each year for the last six or seven years. No other wool socks I've owned have worn so well, or continued to feel so great, after every day use. The ones I bought first six or seven years ago are still going strong - no holes, no wearing, no thinning.
