However, when they arrived I found that they had an elastic waist. Further, the pants were way too long on me, even though I'm tall (5 foot 8). I figured I had been sent the wrong item, so I called Sierra Trading Post to discuss this. I eventually found out that the only pants available were the type I had already received. I returned these. I want to say that in my whole history of shopping with STP, about three years, this is the first time I've gotten an item that was really different from the description.
Love these- and they are long enough!!! These are very nice.
