Lightweight, good grip, hard to put on By Valea from Oregon on 06/30/2009 Pros: Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice once you get them on, collar keeps rocks & sticks out. Square toe box is kind of funky.
By brian p crossfit from Augusta, GA on 06/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Cons: Sole Wears Out Quickly Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes have a really thick and squishy sole. The cleats are great for offroad traction but feel odd for everyday use. They're a little tight/narrow. The neoprene material is comfortable and keeps the shoe secure. I've used them for a couple of weekend 5K's on a sidewalk (novice POSE running) and ended up with blisters on the inside of the ball of my foot. The shoes do look really cool and get people's attention.
By Medicine Man from Birmingham, AL on 06/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes after a 100 (15+/- MPD)mile section hike on the GA section of the AT. I had a great pair of light-weight hiking boots for a summer trip and I COOKED my dogs! I bought these shoes on the reccomendation of another hiker and have had them, and worked them for 12 months. The fabric developed rips early on at the flex points of the toe box, but the integrity of the shoe was not compromised. The tred has held up and my everyday use has had little effect! I love these shoes so much, after a year (with more life left) I am stocking up on two more pair for future use.
By Running Since 1950s from Knoxville, TN on 06/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Running, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Occasional runner (frequent bicycler), generally on forest trails. I thought knobby soul might help with traction on wet TN hills. I usually wear a 10.5+ (wide) and was a bit concerned with length/width of this pair (10.5-medium). Shoe fits a bit snug when stepping into it, due to sock like step-in. Once your foot is in, it was very comfortable, not tight for length or width. They seemed so comfortable that I did 3+ miles on forest trail to try them out. Very nice. Feels like I have had them forever. I thought knobby souls might make them a bit wobbly, but knobs are hardly noticeable. I am pretty sure they will feel just as comfortable on pavement. My first GoLite product so I'll see how durable they are.
By Jshere from Santa Fe, NM on 04/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I liked the fore foot cushioning and adjustable fit system. I have a low volume foot and the heel is a bit loose, but it is not a big deal. Overall I like these shoes a lot. They are nice and light unlike a lot of trail shoes and offer great traction.
By Tallpine from Santa Clara, CA on 03/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Cons: Nylon uppers tear quickly, Squeaks Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Most comfortable shoe I have EVER owned. Good for high-volume, wide foot. Very good shock absorbtion, Sure footed during descent on dirt, rock, scree over packed soil. Loses traction over wet wood planking. Shoe developed squeak, but no big deal when used as designed. Fabric strength of my shoes was poor, developing major rips within a month.
By Max from Brooklyn, NY on 03/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, These shoes are awesome Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think mo-pentathalon spends too much time in the sun and doesn't know what he's talking about. These shoes are awesome and everyone should own a pair. Mo should return his shoes and shut his silly mouth up and go back to the beach to get more damage to his already sun-damaged brain. People from California are crazy.
