By Looking for an all around comfort from Bloomington, IL on 06/08/2009 Cons: Uncomfortable standing Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been having difficulty finding a show that is comfortable to stand in. Everything works great as long as I am moving, but when I stop nothing works. This shoe proved no different.
By mackthe knife from San Luis Obispo, Ca on 05/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these colorful babies are like wearing two titanium shocks on your feet-they take out the hard granite bumps, rocks, ruts even while you are running at a good clip downhill with daypack. The beauty is, they weight nothing, give excellent support, and,for me, fit great with no break in. I bought two more pairs after training in the first pair on sierra running trails to 12,000 feet in late summer.
By tallpine98g from Santa Clara, CA on 05/04/2009 Pros: Bridges wel, Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Steep Terrain Grip Cons: Squeaks, Upper may lack durability Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent rough trail/off-trail running shoe. Excellent grip on steel loose dirt Sure footed on rough rock. Reasonably good trail feel, but little padding. Most comfortable shoe I have worn in my life. A previously-purchased pair lacked fabric durability.
By Old Trail Dog from Southeast Michigan on 05/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been running trail ultramarathons for 30 years. This shoe looked so weird but had such good reviews, I figured I'd take a chance on these. I wore these the first time for a 22 mile run on a rocky, rugged hiker/mountain biker trail popular with runners around here. Very comfortable and stable, even in loose sand. Ran a Marathon on the same trails last weekend and will use in the Ice Age 50 mile in Wisconsin next week. Ordered a second pair! I love 'em!
These shoes position your feet fairly level from the heel to the forefoot traction nubs, so they're very well suited to my recent change from heel landing to forefoot landing.
By Canyonman from Hurricane UT on 04/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I only bought these due to the reviews. I have a wide foot and am picky about shoes. When I first tried them on I was going to send them back. But then I found the inserts that came with them and WOW, they fit like a glove! Not much else to say not the best looking but very comfortable. I run in the desert with them and use them for everyday use. Can't beat this price!
By bootman from Clarkfield,MN. on 03/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes strictly because of their looks. They sure are cool-looking.I especially like the lug soles, which have quite a bit of cushion. They have a neat insole system, which allows you to adjust for the width of your foot, by adding a piece to the bottom of the insole. When I use the correct piece, the fit is right on.(I like the bright yellow color, too.)
