By AB from Coimbatore,INDIA on 01/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good heel shock absrbtion, Stable Best Uses: Endurance Training Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I run mostly on the treadmill around 5-10k thrice a week.was using the asics gt2110 before and the landreth 2 prior to that.I would have to say the foundation is not as good as the gt 2110 in terms of cushioning and fit.would buy a half size larger and a 2e width next time if i do buy this shoe.
By colorado from CO on 01/05/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable Cons: Feet get sore on long run Best Uses: Endurance Training, Everyday wear Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were for my son who runs cross country. He is a mild overpronator. He says these provide good support and are pretty comfortable. They wear well. He rates a similar shoe by a different manufacturer as more comfortable/a cushier ride, but he gives these the thumbs up for comfort and durability for a lighter-weight person who runs 50+ miles a week and needs support for overpronation.
Order 1/2 size up for true size. They run small.

Anticipated Asics performance. By Boston Marathoner from Boston, MA on 12/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Having run for years in Asics, the Gel Foundation 7 offers no surprises. This shoe offers all the benefits that the Asics designers have attended to and refined; fit, comfort, and good 'road-feel'. They do not possess the advanced stability of other shoes, but have become a reliable tool in my running shoe repertoire.
My favorite road running cushioned shoe By Colorado Runner from Boulder, CO on 12/19/2008 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A running shoe is a personal thing and one does not fit all. That said, ASICS hit the mark with this high mileage cushioned shoe. I have a trail shoe for trails, but this is my road shoe. I can race in this shoe and don't get that soreness that comes with such efforts sometimes due to the strike. The last is insanely comfortable and makes me wonder why more don't have a similar design. The ride is worth paying for. Are you worth it? :)
By No Whine Zone from Phoenix, AZ on 12/19/2008 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable, Versatile Best Uses: Pavement, Running, Walking, Wet Conditions, Winter Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my 12yr old, who wears sz 10.5 mens. If we could change anything, it would be the width of the heel, since he is still young, his heel is not wide enough. He loves this shoe though, it's our 2nd pair (differant sizes). They wear nicely, dry fast and are easy to keep clean.
He wears only Teva sandals and Asics.

Foundation replaces Fortitude By EC from Boston, MA on 12/10/2008 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable, Versatile Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement, Running Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I believe that the Asics Foundation replaces the Fortitude. This is an excellent shoe for long runs. The shoe fits true to size, is extremely comfortable and durable (I'm just getting a new pair after 1 year and over 500 miles). These shoes are like high-tech gloves for your feet.
By jd5280 from Colorado on 12/02/2008 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Durable Best Uses: Endurance Training, Foot Ailments, Running Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an over-pronater and weigh about 200 lbs. I tend to wear through these fairly quickly. That being said, this is at least my 6th pair including the previous model of this shoe. I have tried others and have never been even close to as happy. I am not a marathoner, but I have put some serious miles on these shoes.
