Size 7 men's is a good substitute for women's 8.5, with just a little extra width across the toes. GREAT! I run 7 miles 3-4 times a week and find these shoes to be as comfortable as any I've used. I can't rate durability, as I've only had them a short while.

By Lew from Chicago IL on 04/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes for running. These shoes may work for another foot, but not mine. They have great cushion and breathe well, but they feel wide in the arch and have a very flat arch. After a run, my feet feel exhausted and my arch gets sore and tight.
They also have a couple spots where materials are piled up. You can feel them (slightly uncomfortable). I was worried about pinches and chafing, but despite the feel, they have not rubbed me raw.
If your foot is flat and wide, go for it, but I won't buy them again. The price was great, but I spent even more to get a good insert to provide the arch support I think the shoe should have provided.
By BP SLP from Central Florida on 04/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my husband as he wears running shoes out like crazy. He prefers Asic/Tiger but will try new shoes if the price is good. He has been wearing these shoes for 3 weeks now and still says, "they don't feel right." He thinks they might be better another half size larger but he isn't sure that is the problem. He says his toes feel crowded. So, that being said, I would recommend ordering a full size larger as these shoes are attractive and are lightweight and durable.
By MN Runner from St Paul, MN on 03/31/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breatheable, Comfortable, Flexible, Soft Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the best shoe I've had since the adidas Boston. I prefer a soft, flexible shoe that cushions my feet. This shoe is exactly that. Too many running shoes nowadays are stiff and hard, feel flat. This shoe has revitalized my running.
