Protect your toes and ankles. The mix of felt and rubber on the sole works great in all river applications. The neoprene liner is great for keeping most debris out from your under your feet, add gravel guards and your unstoppable! These shoes are lighter and fit better than conventional wading shoes. I really like this product from Simms By George from New Jersey on 07/30/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The product is excellent. It has enough flexibility to make walking through streams easy, but stiff enough to give you the control you desire. Plenty of room for the wader stocking. Order 1 size larger.
Comfortable and high quality By Cowboy from Pacific Northwest on 07/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these for wet wading. They are true to normal shoe size with medium weight socks. Highest quality materials and workmanship. A bargain.
Very Comfortable and Lightweight By JimFly from Seattle, WA on 07/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very comfortable pair wading boots, especially compared to typically big, heavy and overly stiff boots. I purchased one size bigger so I could wear with my stocking foot waders. Perfect fit in this situation. These boots feel more like a comfortable pair of shoes I could wear on a daily basis. The Keen design is both attractive and extremely functional while hiking to/from and wading rivers. The lightweight design makes it so much easier to wade through rocky streams. A really nice pair of boots. I love them!
By mkctn from tennessee on 07/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've got the Simms (keen) wading sandals but it's easy for small rocks to get in the sandal--so i switched to these boots for wet wading and problem solved! obviously they are heavier, but also sturdier so you actually feel more stable in the water. great boots at a great price! i wear a 9 wading boot with stockingfoot waders, and i bought the size 8 in this (which is my normal shoe size) and it fits great.
Felt and sole excellent fit By flyfishin69 from Greencastle, Pa on 07/08/2008 Pros: All of the above, Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: It's from Simms no cons Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have to admit with all the slurry of transmitting disease to different waterways I was hesitant about purchasing felt again. Now I just take the time to thoroughly clean with bleach and water (disposed of properly). Practice environmentally friendly living everyday.
By John from Tampa, FL on 07/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only tried these boots on an they are very comfortable - wish they made them with a rubber sole so I could use them while wading the flats in saltwater. Won't use them until later in the summer when I go back to the montais of North Carolina, but they look like they'll do the job.
