Can fit several thinner layers underneath. Pit zips help ventilate when body heats up. Perfect number of useful pockets. Not any unnecessary bells and whistles. Would be really great with a thin hood zipped into collar, but is still great without that.

As another reviewer noted however, the fit across the back is all wrong (unless you are VERY "apple-shaped"). The jacket was so big through the waist and back that the fabric was all bunched up and it just looked...sloppy. It's too bad b/c I loved the material, the color(s)and "extras". Had to return it. :(

It is just what I had been looking for at a reasonable price. I don't like the velcro on the cuffs so I will take it off.

Also, it's a lot lighter weight than I thought it would be, and I was hoping to wear it (with layers underneath) through the winter. I do like that it has plenty of pockets & pit vents, though. And the price was right!
