I am very hard on socks, working outdoors every day with my work boots on for 12 to 14 hours a day. When thet wear out the sock is still intact, it just looks like a silk stocking, it doesn't rip.

She liked them a lot,said they are warm, not bulky, and the extra padding on her shins helped prevent irritation. We don't ski that often but she plans on using them for normal use also.
