These were also a great price. These particuliar socks are suited for cold climates and would likely be too much for summer use. Always the wear of these socks is top notch, I would recommend these socks to anyone.

I'd like to give these socks more stars By Wildlife Researcher from Illinois on 06/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Regulates Temperature Well, Stylish, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a wildlife researcher and need good socks for my job. These socks are awesome except for the fact that the toe seams in both socks were coming unraveled before I even wore them. [...] I sewed the weak seams and am hoping that the seam that I had to create does not bother me too much. Since I repaired them I have not had a chance to wear them out in the field yet to try them out. Other than that these socks are so comfortable! Just beware, these are seconds and it seems that a lot of reviewers have complained about weak toe seams in many of the seconds socks on this website.
By Great Sock Fan from Mole Lake, WI on 06/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect match for a specific outfit. I love the softness! So kind to my feet!
By Matt G from Boulder, CO on 05/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks are very thick. They are perfect for extreme cold weather, but too thick for summer hiking, in my opinion. I recommend these socks for snowshoeing or other winter activities where a thicker sock won't inhibit performance. They are very durable and I know they will last many years.
Best All-Around Socks. Period. By Zombie Woof from Eagle, ID on 05/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Super comfortable. Wear like cast iron. My Boy Scout uses them to sleep in when it's cold and hike in any time. I wear them for everyday. Cool in summer, warm in winter, cushioned to make your feet feel better than barefoot. Get a couple of pairs!
