By getout from Cleveland, OH on 03/25/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've worn this jacket on two rides now in sub-freezing temps and it is nice and warm and completely windproof. There are two zippers down the front- one inside a storm flap and one outside it. I haven't encountered rain yet but it seems like it should provide good protection from the wet as well as the cold. It is a bit of a chore getting all zipped up with two zippers, but you can just zip the outer one in warmer conditions for sure. THere is no "port" for feeding ipod headphone cords through the jacket, but I run mine down my sleeve anyway. The material looks like black denim and the jacket has plenty of style with decorative stitching.
By Yamaraja from Murwillumbah, NSW, Australia on 03/22/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just returned from a 4,000km ride, wore the jacket the whole time, in both hot and cold conditions. In cold I only wore a T-shirt under it. In the heat even with the liner removed it was a bit hot.
By Rockin Robin from St. Charles, IL on 03/19/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Stylish, Tough Cons: Collar is a little stiff Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice motorcycle jacket. Wore it yesterday for the first time in about 55 degree weather and it kept me protected from the wind exceptionally well. Plan on getting lots of miles out of it.
Great design and cool looks. By gregrides from Trabuco Canyon, Ca on 01/05/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Superb jacket, however it was a little short for my liking. I also feel the material will get wet and heavy in rain (the sheltex waterproof liner is on the inside).

The coolest Jacket I own. By Rippa from Vero Beach, FL on 12/25/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Based on previous reviews, I ordered one size up to what I would normally go with and it was perfect. I am 6'4 250 LBS and got XXL. Couldn't fit any better. I wish this jacket came in green and red.
By Love2Ride from Bay Area, CA on 12/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Long Rides, Off-Road, Protection, Street Riding, Versatile Motorsports: Casual Rider, Motorcycle Enthusiast, Touring Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a size smaller than usual, and it fits well. Zip out liner, and the rugged good looks and versatility of a jean jacket (but with armor and all the well-thought extras that come with a great german brand like Hein Gericke).
By Long Commuter from Tehachapi, CA on 12/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really haven't been able to use/test this jacket yet due to another HG jacket (the other STP Sheltex jacket in XXL, I bought both) for colder weather (20's - 30's F). This one mostly fits true to size, I started with the XXL based on other HG product reviews saying they run small but had to exchange it for the XL, i'm 6'2", 195, average build, I buy XL shirts/jackets for the sleeve length to accomodate my long arms and deal with a slightly looser body. With this jacket (liner in) the shoulders fit perfect the waist is adjustable, the upper arms are adjustable, the chest is a little baggy and the cuffs do not adjust; has upper chest and kidney area vents and 2 inside pockets, it looks and feels durable and heavy duty. It should be warm down to 40's and possibly high 30's. I'll have to give an update when I get a chance to road test on my 120 mile round trip commutes from 4,000' ft to the 2,500' desert.
By seelife from Sierra Vista, AZ on 12/03/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the armored sleeves.
seems like a nice product but.... By ramon the rider from Chicago, IL on 12/02/2008 Pros: Full sleeve insul liner, Lightweight, Stylish, Tough Cons: Misleading sizing, Suede-like shoulder patch, Thin backpad Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Foremost issue is the sizing. I am 5'1" 170lbs and wear a 42 short, so I'm not a stick. The Large (40-42) jacket feels at least 44 chest with the liner in. Nice full sleeve insulated liner tho. I wear 33 waist pants, and had to cinch in the waist. The sleeves are quite baggy, especially below the elbows, even after cinching them in. The cuffs are too large, and will end up billowing. I love the styling and material. It looks like a denim jacket, but much more durable. Not sure about the durability of the shoulder patches; they look like suede. As M is not available, I will have to return.
