By Purple-A-Holic from Atlanta, GA on 11/03/2009 Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second review and second pair of these boots. First I bought the tan color and then came back for the brown. I liked the style and the fit and the heel height. I work in corporate America so these are for my kick around in jean and boots weekend wear. I live in and love to wear high heels so for me this is a lower heel and very comfortable.
By Jen from New York, NY on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only problem I had with these boots is that they're a bit stiff and difficult to take off. But once they're broken in I'm sure they'd be better. Consider ordering up a half size. They're very cute, the heel is a good height without being uncomfortable and the details are great. A really well made boot.
Gorgeous, comfortable boot, great price! By Autumn Rain from Vancouver, BC on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, fashionable, Stable Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I absolutely love this boot. They are the perfect blend of city meets country. I wore them right out of the box to work all day and they were extremely comfortable. Note that they are slippery on the carpet only until you wear them outside - pavement will scratch off the slick layer.I had ordered a size 9.5, but then had to order the 8.5. I normally wear a 9.5 to 10, so I was worried that the 9.5 might be too tight. Wrong. The 9.5 was too big. [...] I nervously ordered an 8.5 (I just HAD to have these boots, so I took the gamble). To my delight and surprise, the 8.5 is perfect right now with some thinner socks. With leather, they always stretch out, so I anticipate that a heavier sock will be needed after a season of wear.I'm pretty sure that I received the pair that another reviewer had returned, as the right boot I could get on, the left I actually couldn't get on at all. You couldn't imagine my disappointment, as this was the second pair of these boots I had ordered and I wanted them to fit so bad! After a night of trying and trying to get them on, I sent my husband out to get me a long shoe horn. I was so relieved that the shoe horn worked. So, if like me, you can't get your boots on, don't despair: buy yourself a shoe horn - you'll be happy you did, these boots are amazing and you won't want to get a bigger size as the leather will loosen with time. I can feel them loosening up, and I"m sure I'll get them on without a shoehorn in a couple of weeks. I have average size calves, and these leave a little room to wear with skinny jeans under without being at all tight. I don't own skinny jeans (wasn't that a thing from the 80's?), but I just have to go buy some now so that I can show these boots off instead of hiding them under my boot-cut jeans!Order these while you can!!!!!! Double H doesn't make this boot any more... and they have nothing like it in their current line.
By Organicnut from Jackson, TN on 10/12/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute, Distressed, Durable, Stylish and Sexy, Well Made Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Too Stiff Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are the best looking boots I have ever owned! I have actually had a client put them on and refuse to take them off after I showed them to her and say that she was keeping them (I got them back, but I think she was at least half serious) and a woman stopped me in [...] to ask where I got them. I was thinking of purchasing a [$]pair of Frye's from a local boutique but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm glad I waited because I got these for [$] with a coupon here and they are even better looking than the Frye's. They are distressed and scratch easily, which only adds to the character and makes them look even more expensive. They do rub a little on one pinky toe and above one ankle they cut in a little when the leather bends, but the more I wear them the less that happens, so they are softening up fairly quickly, which is good. They are a bit slick on the carpet when you first put them on but a day or two of normal wear walking from your car across parking lots while shopping will scuff the bottom up enough to fix that. I did order a half-size up and I'm glad I did.
By Sierra shopper from Minneapolis on 10/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had high hopes for this boot - would love to find a tall western boot. Boot did come up to knee, but was too tight for me right at the top. Also, the distressing was odd, at least on the pair I received. Looked sort of like water damage rather than regular distressed leather. I sent them back.

Don't hesitate - GET THEM By Sootio from St. Francis, MN on 09/12/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable, Stylish Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit Describe Yourself: Biker Chick Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots take a little break in time but it's well worth it once they shape to you! I love them with my jeans and skirts. These boots have become part of me. You will definitely need a boot jack to get them on and off! A note to other biker chicks - they have a slippery leather sole, i added a rubber grip to them. I'm definitely feeling these!
Comfortable once on your feet By Cat Lady from Middletown, DE on 09/10/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not had a chance to wear the boots in cold weather, but they seem fine so far. I imagine with more wear, they will become softer. Overall, I do like the way they fit and look. However, they are a little difficult sliding on and off of my feet, but once on are pretty comfortable.
Too bad one is smaller than the other By Susie from Pittsburgh on 09/03/2009 Pros: Cute, Durable, Stable Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are absolutely beautiful. The instep on the left boot was so tight that I almost couldn't get the boot off by myself. I did buy a half size larger and the right boot was a perfect fit. I have a feeling it is the luck of the draw. I sent them back. If you are willing to take your chances, it's a great boot.
