I had a replacement pair sent to me and when I opened that pair, the tip fell off of one, which I was able to put back on, but when I went to extend one of the poles for the first time, it broke. Sent all 4 poles back for a refund.

Very light and comfortable By Alex from Seattle on 01/04/2009 Pros: Easy to adjust, Flexible, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tend to not use poles at all but I decided to give this a try. I went on a 9 hour snowshoe up aggressive hills and these poles were great. They didn't collapse and on the way down where it was mixed snow/dirt, the antishock was great. Also, I had no arm fatigue at all since they were so light! I have a bad left shoulder and have used a friend's pole in the past with no antishock and my shoulder hurt for days, so far it has been 2 days no wrist or shoulder discomfort.
Very good quality for the price.
