Excellent Adjusting Mechanism By Caveman from Richmond, Vermont on 10/27/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Precision, Good Stiffness Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use these poles for backcountry/mountain snowshoeing. My current poles have a twist lock mechanism for adjusting length. On the seriously cold days the twist locks often fail to allow adequate tightening and therefore slippage can occur. The komperdell's "Powerlock" mechanism is a pleasant surprise. It is easy to use and locks down well. I am pleased with everything about the poles, grips, material, locking mech are all top notch.
Won't find better poles for the price By skipatroller101 from So Cal on 03/19/2009 Pros: Ergonomic Grip, Good Stiffness, Lightweight Best Uses: Alpine, Mountaineering, Telemarking Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great affordable, lightweight poles. Easy to adjust on the fly. Shaft grips are nice. So good looking that someone picked them up in the parking lot and I'll never see them again. :(

Decent poles for the money By Snbdr turned Telemarker from Golden, CO on 02/03/2009 Pros: Ergonomic Grip, Good Stiffness, Lightweight Cons: Handles attract snow Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only gotten one day's use out of the poles, but my wife has a similar model, which I've used before. The flip lock works great and the poles are comfortable. The foam grips tend to hold snow (only a problem if you fall - my wife never noticed it with hers), and the straps have a little bit of padding, which can hinder removal before you get on the lift. Aside from that, they work great so far.
